ENDOWED LECTURE SERIES

Starting in 2007, the Loveland Garden Club created the Endowed Lecture Series with an original pledge of $25,000. Today, the endowment has exceeded over $100,000 and continues to bring thought leaders to Omaha’s Lauritzen Gardens providing education and discussion on topics relevant to horticulture, gardening and conservation. The LGC Endowed Lecture Series is a biannual event.

The Loveland Garden Club Lecture Series at Lauritzen Gardens is a permanent project of Loveland Garden Club.

ANNUAL FUNDRAISING EVENT

Each year, Loveland Garden Club hosts an annual fundraising event. Our 2022 fundraiser, “Herbs: A Taste of Nature” was held Thursday, June 9, 2022, from 6-9 p.m. at Field Club of Omaha.

The event included herb-inspired hors d’oeuvres, an herb farmers market, Diane Murphy – a botanical artist, and featuring music by Ron Cooley, from Manheim Steamroller.

Funds raised support our Lauritzen Gardens Endowed Lecture Series & other LGC Community Projects such as the Methodist/Children’s Rooftop Garden, The Sheltering Tree Sensory Garden & the JP Lord School Sensory Garden.

ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting held each May for the purpose of the election of Directors, Executive Committee and sub-committees. At this meeting, members are recognized with awards for the previous year’s work. Provisional members are introduced.

ANNUAL HOLIDAY BRUNCH

Each December, the Loveland Garden Club’s monthly meeting takes place as a holiday brunch at a members’ home. LGC members meet to socialize and spread holiday cheer.
