On November 5th, Austin Eischeid a native of Carroll, Iowa, was the speaker at the LGC biannual lecture series. “Austin designs public gardens, institutional landscapes, and private residences across the country. His work is rooted in the New Perennial movement- naturalistic plantings that are dynamic, ecologically sound, emotionally moving, and dynamic in every season. Eischeid played an integral role in helping Piet Oudolf’s design of Polina Gardens come alive through plant and tree selection and direct work with the Lauritzen Gardens team.”*
